As a beneficiary of the great Missoula Floods (Willamette Valley, Oregon), it was great to read about the same process happening in Alaska. Why of course it did! So much water! So much power!
Mary Lynn, my introduction to the whole concept of great floods was Dry Falls and the incredible coulees (canyons) in Washington state, remnants of the Missoula Flood! Utterly amazing geology!
